Juventus are full of energy and it's the visitors who are being pinned back in their own end as the Bianconeri attempt to find a winner! Juventus have lost only two of their last 34 home games in the Champions League W22, D Both of those defeats were against Bayern Munich.

Oh how things can change! Juventus are playing like Bayern were early on, chasing down every ball, not knowing the meaning of a lost cause.

It gets Morata into a bit of trouble here though, as a hard tackle sees him into the referee's book. That was a tremendous assist from Morata who has been on for less than a minute!

It's the two substitutes who link-up to send the crowd into rapture! Morata sends a lovely headed cross into the area for the on rushing Sturaro, who sends a finish crashing into the ceiling of the goal!

The man who had magic in his boots in last season's Champions League, Alvaro Morata, is introduced for the final 15 minutes by Allegri and he receives a rowdy applause from the home supporters.

Guardiola does finally make his first change, bringing on defender Medhi Benatia, who has only had a couple days of training upon his return from injury.

That should see Alaba push over to left-back. That should see Alaba push over to left-back, with Bernat coming off.

There's a real intensity about this match as we enter the final 20 minutes, and momentum is starting to shift a great deal as Juventus chase this elusive equaliser.

Bayern can feel the game slipping a bit, as tired legs start to creep into midfield. It might be time for a change.

Lewandowski has done some excellent work defensively to win the ball back with his high pressing, but he goes into the book here as he trips up Cuadrado to prevent a Juventus counter.

Pogba gets the ball atop the area following the corner. He cuts onto his right and bends a shot that doesn't miss by much at the far post! Juventus asking real questions now.

The stadium is buzzing with anticipation now as the game bursts to life! Juventus have a spring in their step, and another good ball won by Mandzukic starts a break.

He slides a pass across for Cuadrado inside the area, but Neuer is able to get his hands up and make the save! The Colombian winger had to hit that hard and low!

The hosts make their first change and it's a positive one as well from Allegri who introduces Stefano Sturaro for Sami Khedira.

Mandzukic is a lucky boy, as he gets face to face with Lewandowski and headbutts his former team-mate! The Polish international responds with one of his own, but it all goes unnoticed by the referee!

That could have been much worse for Mandzukic. Lovely pass from Mandzukic to assist his striker parnter there.

The air has been sucked out of the stadium following the second Bayern goal. These fans know what a mountain their team has to climb now, and it nearly gets worse for the Bianconeri as Lewandowski gets in front of Bonucci to nearly head home a cross in from the right.

Thiago fouls Cuadrado as Juventus try and muster a quick response, but the ensuing free-kick from Dybala deflects behind for a corner.

These set-piece opportunities should favour the height of the hosts, but again Bayern deal with it soundly. There were a couple of options there for Lewandowski, but he picked out the right pass in the end.

Possession fairly even over these first 10 minutes of the second half, but there's been little attacking threat posed by the hosts who absolutely must get a result from this game to give themselves a fighting chance of progressing past the return leg in Germany.

That could have been worse for Juventus! Nearly everyone stops running as the ball just drifts out of play near the corner flag, with Lewandowski attempting to beat his marker.

Even the striker himself stopped, but the linesman never spotted it and allows play to continue, but the final ball into the box isn't able to catch Bonnuci by surprise.

Juventus have clearly altered their tactics coming out of the interval, sending more bodies forward and pushing the ball into attack with a greater sense of urgency.

It has been an encouraging start from them, though there's been little end product just yet. One change at the break from Juventus as Hernanes comes on to replace Claudio Marchisio.

Thomas Muller rewards Bayern for what was a dominating performance across the opening 45 minutes, securing a vital away goal just a couple minutes before the break.

Juventus brought it upon themselves, and while hindsight may be , it's become quite clear that Massimiliano Allegri has got his tactics all wrong in this match.

Juventus finally take on some urgency as they respond well to falling behind. Pogba sends a headed pass into the area for Dybala, who goes to ground under a bit of contact from Vidal - but referee Martin Atkinson says no penalty!

And it's the right call in the end, as the replays would suggest. There will be one minute added on at the end of this first half.

Pogba makes a clever turn around Robben and all of a sudden the seas part for Juventus, who see plenty of open space in front of them.

The Frenchman picks out Dybala on the left, but his cross in for Mandzukic is ushered behind by Alaba, presenting the hosts with their first corner of the match.

Costa's cross in from the left is partially dealt with by a diving Buffon, who sends the ball straight to Robben, but Evra does just enough to deny the Dutchman a shot on target.

Pressure stays on and the Brazilian gets it again inside the area, but Lichtsteiner is able to intervene and force the ball behind for a corner. Bayern Munich, who finished top in Group F ahead of Arsenal, have reached the knockout stages of the Champions League for the 8th consecutive campaign.

Bayern have completed more than three times as many passes as Juventus in this first half, yet the scoreboard remains unaltered.

While this has been a poor showing from the hosts, they will be encouraged if they can ride this wave out into the break without conceding.

Neuer, who has hardly seen any action in the Bayern half, has taken up a position at the bottom of the cirlce at the halfway line.

He's been able to stand out there for the majority of this first half with his side dominating possession, which speaks volumes about the respect he has for Juventus' ability to counter.

Mandzukic is penalised for a foul on Bernat, awarding the visitors a free-kick in a teasing position on the left. The ensuing delivery is bent in brilliantly behind the defence, picking out Lewandowski in the centre, but he sends a header straight at Buffon!

Either side and it's More great movement in attack from the visitors, as the ball is worked across the top of the area and into the path of Bernat, deflecting off Marchisio.

The left-back doesn't make great contact, but still forces Buffon into action at the near post, and the keeper nearly makes a mess of it.

Juventus are struggling mightily to break out of their own end when they win the ball back. They have so many bodies back in defence that there's no outlet for them to work the ball forward and break up the pitch.

There's far too much time elapsing between attacks for the Bianconeri. What is working for Juventus at the moment is the amount of support they have on the flanks when defending.

Cuadrado and Pogba have provided consistent help for the likes of Lichtsteiner and Evra as they try to keep the tricky Costa and Robben on the perimeter - although it's coming at the expense of their attacking potency.

Robben drifts off his marker into space just inside the left side of the penalty area, where he's picked out by a clever ball over the top from Lahm.

The Dutchman controls and sends a half-volley at goal, which is struck with some ferocity, but it blazes over the bar! Bonucci is able to win the header, rising above Thiago, but his effort on goal is nothing to trouble Neuer who makes a comfortable catch.

Still, it's an early warning of the capabilities of this Juventus team from free-kicks. Everyone behind the ball right now for Juventus, in what has largely been a discouraging start for the hosts.

Bayern are at 77 per cent possession and inching closer to a breakthrough goal that would really tilt the tie in their favour. Outstanding interplay from Bayern!

Lahm makes a wonderful run into the centre to get onto the ball, before sliding a pass through for Lewandoski inside the area. The striker lays it off for Muller, but he fails to sort his feet out atop the six-yard box, with Buffon stranded, and his weak shot is cleared as a result by Bonucci!

It's curled into the middle of the box, where it bounces around before falling to the centre-back, but once again he's unable to beat Neuer, this time with a close-range header.

The centre-back now seems to be playing as a makeshift centre-forward, and he remains camped on the edge of the Bayern penalty area as Juventus push forward once again.

Sturaro charges towards the box before teeing up the defender, but he ends up firing a low strike straight into the hands of Neuer in the middle of the goal.

It's all Juventus at the moment as they desperately try to find a way back into the game, but it is now Bayern who are on the back foot and desperately defending their lead.

As a result, the visitors are continually being frustrated and finding it difficult to carve out chances on goal. What a chance for Sturaro to pull a goal back!

Pogba picks up the ball on the left flank and immediately curls a brilliant cross into the heart of the penalty area, where it finds Mandzukic unmarked.

The striker meets the ball with an outstretched foot and forces Neuer into making a strong diving save before the Italian midfielder somehow skies his follow-up shot over the top of the crossbar from close range.

The referee then turns to Bernat and shows him a yellow card as well, much to the annoyance of the Spaniard.

After taking his time making up his mind, the referee eventually shows Sturaro a yellow card for his challenge on Alaba.

Sturaro attempts to break into the Bayern penalty area as he tries to latch on to a lofted pass forward, but he's unable to find a way past Alaba and ends up cynically dragging the defender to the ground.

The Italian's actions result in an angry response from Bernat, who shoves the midfielder before squaring up to him inside the box, leaving the referee with a choice to make about what to do Bayern have scored again and are surely going to feature in the next round of the Champions League!

A Juventus attack breaks down after great defending by Vidal, who quickly kick-starts a swift counter-attack. Coman flies forward on a brilliant run deep into the visitors' half of the pitch before penetrating the box, and he then skips past Bonucci before beating Buffon with a lovely curling strike.

The hosts are running riot! Bayern have taken the lead! A dangerous cross from the left flank can only find Evra inside the Juventus penalty area, but the left-back's attempted clearance is poor and is sent straight into the feet of Thiago.

The Spaniard plays a lovely one-two with Muller as they break into the penalty area, and the midfielder then fire a brilliant curling strike past Buffon and into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.

What a way to score what could be the winning goal of the game! Assist Arturo Erasmo Vidal Pardo. The first half of extra-time comes to an end and it remains all square between the two sides.

As has been the case since the start of the second period of normal time, Bayern are continuing to boss possession as they push forward time and time again, but Juventus are just about managing to hold on.

Will it go to penalties, or can either side find the back of the net during the final 15 minutes? Juventus win themselves a free-kick on the right wing after Pereyra is fouled, and it's quickly thumped up towards the edge of the penalty area.

It almost finds Pogba, but just as he's about to make contact with the ball it's stolen away from him by strong defending by Kimmich.

Pereyra and Vidal are involved in an off the ball coming together in the middle of the pitch, and the Argentine becomes the latest player to receive a yellow card as a result.

Big call by the referee! Lewandowski breaks into the left-hand side of the Juventus penalty area as he tries to latch on to a loose ball forward, but he ends up barging Bonucci to the ground, resulting in the referee awarding a free-kick to the visitors just as the striker goes through on goal.

The defender looked to go down slightly too easy, however, and the number 9 definitely seems to agree. Yellow card Roberto Maximiliano Pereyra.

Bayern have made their final change of the game, with Ribery making way for Thiago. Wonderful play by Coman!

The youngster has made a huge difference since coming on to the pitch, and he's been causing an increasing amount of problems for Sandro down the right wing.

He takes on the Brazilian and skips past him with ease before trying to tee up Lewandowski with a low cross towards the edge of the six-yard box, but Bonucci is just about able to cut out the danger with a vital interception at the near post.

Once again, Ribery picks up the ball in a dangerous position on the left-hand side of the Juventus box. This time he's quickly closed down by a group of defenders as he tries to weave his way towards goal, and he's eventually dispossessed before he can test Buffon with a close-range strike.

The Frenchman, who has looked far better since suffering a disappointing first half, twists and turns on the left-hand side of the penalty area before finally being able to get a shot away, but his strike deflects off the foot of Barzagli before being parried away by a strong save from Buffon.

A half-hearted Bayern attack breaks down deep inside the Juventus half of the pitch, and the Italian side quickly break away on a swift counter-attack.

They initially work the ball around well before Hernanes tries to tee up Sandro on the left wing, but his pass is completely mishit and sails harmlessly out of play for a throw-in.

Juventus break away quickly down the right flank before a low cross is fired into the feet of Mandzukic. The striker controls it well and spins before teeing up the Swiss right-back, but his curling shot fails to beat Neuer at the far post and is well saved by the German goalkeeper.

Bayern immediately push forward down the left wing through Lewandowski, who quickly wins his side a corner. It's curled towards the near post by Costa but Barzagli is just about to beat Muller to the ball before clearing it away from danger with a strong header.

The referee blows his whistle and brings an end to 90 minutes of excellent football. Bayern's late equaliser, made possible thanks to a brilliant second-half performance, means that we're going to extra-time, and the hosts will fancy their chances of breaking down a Juventus side that have defended diligently but are quickly starting to tire.

Bayern keep pushing forward as they look for a goal that woud send them through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Alaba sends a looping cross into the penalty area, where it bounces over to Coman, but the youngster's attempted scissor kick flies comfortably wide of the far post and out for a goal-kick.

So close from Costa! The Brazilian has consistently been one of Bayern's best players this evening, and once again he impresses with wonderful skill down the right flank.

He breaks forward before cutting inside and unleashing a curling strike towards the back post that bounces dangerously in the middle of the penalty area before beating both Buffon and the goal.

Bayern have equalised right at the death! Vidal picks up the ball in the middle of the pitch and immediately picks out Coman deep down the right wing.

The youngster is in a pocket of space and is able to curl a wonderful cross over to the far post, where it finds Muller. The German jumps high and meets it brilliantly before beating Buffon with an excellent close-range header.

We're going to extra-time! Lewandowski hits the post! Costa picks up the ball in a pocket of space 30 yards away from goal and quickly sends a wonderful cross into the middle of the penalty area.

It meets the striker, who immediately nods a lovely header past Buffon and on to the woodwork. However, just as he's about to rush towards the ball the linesman's flag is raised for offside, and the replays show that it was the right decision.

Juventus have made a late alteration, with Pereyra coming on to take the place of Cuadrado. Once again, Coman tries to find joy down the right flank, but once more he's unable to beat Sandro and ends up fouling the Brazilian, who goes down in a heap on the floor and wins his side another free-kick.

Bayern are starting to look increasingly rattled every time they push forward. Bayern push every available body forward once again as they desperately try to find a late equaliser, but Sandro, who has been excellent this evening, forces Coman into fouling him just outside of the Juventus penalty area and wins his side a much-needed free-kick and, more importantly, a rare chance to breathe.

Muller charges into the Juventus penalty area but is quickly dispossessed by a wonderful sliding tackle from Bonucci. The ball falls to Ribery, however, and the Frenchman then chips the ball over to Costa, but the Brazilian is unable to chest it down quickly enough and is tackled by Hernanes before he can unleash a shot from the edge of the box.

Ribery twists and turns on the left-hand side of the penalty area as he weaves his way down the byline. The Frenchman then tries to chip a cross towards Lewandowski in the middle of the box, but Barzagli is able to throw his body in the way of the attempted pass to stop it from finding the goalscorer.

Bayern come back once again before Kimmich chips a deft cross into the middle of the penalty area, but Barzagli is able to rise high above Lewandowski to beat the Polish striker to the ball before he can test Buffon with another close-range headed effort.

Coman and Sandro tangle deep down the right wing, resulting in the referee awarding a free-kick to Bayern in a very dangerous position near to the byline.

After plenty of pushing and shoving inside the box, Costa eventually steps up and curls a cross into the penalty area, but it's just about punched away by Buffon.

The goalkeeper's clearance can only find Ribery, however, but the Frenchman's thumping yard shot fails to beat the sea of white and black shirts camped on the goal line.

Bayern have pulled one back! The hosts break down the right wing before Costa finds himself in a pocket of space just outside of the penalty area.

He takes a quick touch before firing a brilliant cross towards the back post that flies over the head of Bonucci before finding Lewandowski, who is finally able to beat Buffon with a bullet header from close range.

Juventus are continuing to defend incredibly diligently, and as a result Bayern are constantly failing to cause too many problems for the visitors' back line.

Costa cuts inside from the right flank before unleashing a low shot that is deflected away to Muller, but the German's follow-up shot isn't much better and sails harmlessly over the top of the crossbar.

Morata receives a rousing round of applause from the Juventus fans as he's replaced by the former Bayern striker Mandzukic. Yellow card Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello.

A rare Juventus foray forward ends on the edge of the hosts' penalty area and results in a throw-in for Bayern deep inside their own half of the pitch.

They try to take it quickly but Cuadrado cynically pushes the ball away, resulting in him becoming the latest player to receive a yellow card. Substitution Sami Khedira Stefano Sturaro.

Bayern come back once again, and this time it's Ribery who is presented with the latest opportunity to send a corner into the Juventus penalty area.

He's able to do so but it's a poor one, and as a result it ends up sailing straight into the hands of Buffon in the middle of the goal. It just hasn't been the Frenchman's night thus far.

Juventus have decided to make their first change of the night, with Sturaro coming on to take the place of Khedira. The hosts switch the ball out to the right flank, where it finds Coman in a pocket of space, but the youngster is quickly closed down by Sandro, who darts back to put the winger under pressure before forcing him into running the ball out of play for a goal-kick.

Bayern continue to dominate possession deep inside the Juventus half of the pitch as they desperately move the ball around just outside of the visitors' box.

It eventually bounces into the path of Ribery on the left-hand side of the penalty area, but his toe-poked strike fails to find a way past Bonucci. Ball after ball is flung into the Juventus penalty area as Bayern try to find a way back into the game, but each one is well dealt with by the visitors before they are eventually allowed a chance to breathe after Lewandowski brings down Pogba with a flailing arm.

Bayern have made their second change of the game, with Alonso making way for Coman. Another chance for Morata!

The first corner quickly results in a second for Juventus, which is taken short before Sandro curls a cross into the heart of the penalty area.

It flies past a sea of red shirts before finding the Spanish striker, but his bullet header is sent straight into the hands of Neuer. So close from Morata!

Once again, the Spaniard breaks through the disjointed Bayern back line before flying into the hosts' box. He then skips past both Kimmich and Alaba before unleashing a thumping strike, but it takes a slight deflection off the outstretched foot of the Austrian that sends it looping just over the top of the crossbar.

A half-hearted Bayern attacking move breaks down, allowing Juventus to fly forward on a brilliant counter-attack. Sandro quickly sends the ball into the path of Morata, who skips past Alaba far too easily before heading into the penalty area.

He then tests Neuer with a low shot, but it's sent straight into the hands of the German goalkeeper. The resulting set-piece is flung into the middle of the Juventus penalty area, but it's initially well dealt with by the visitors and cleared out to the left wing.

Costa picks up the ball and quickly sends it back into the box, but his attempted cross is overhit and misses Ribery before bouncing out of play for a goal-kick.

Sandro charges into Lewandowski and barges the striker to the ground, leaving him in a heap on the floor. Juventus play on, however, and quickly break down the right flank, but the attacking move ends up coming to a disappointing end when Morata carelessly strays into an offside position.

And now Bonucci becomes the latest player to receive a yellow card after he clatters into Lewandowski as the striker tries to break forward through the middle of the pitch.

The flow of the game has been completely eradicated by a series of cynical fouls. Lewandowski, clearly frustrated with Sandro's tackle on him a few moments ago, ends up running into Evra off the ball, leaving the referee with no choice but to add his name to the ever increasing list in his book.

Die fast perfekte Verpflichtung des Chilenen von Leverkusen war im letzten Moment geplatzt, stattdessen hatte Juve den Zuschlag erhalten.
